The All New Nintendo Switch!!!

Yes guys, finally the ground-breaking, breath-taking gaming system that has got everyone talking is finally here. Yes, I’m talking about the do it all, all in one Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch functions as a traditional home console, a portable system, and stand-alone touchscreen tablet with wireless controllers at the same time. Lets take a minute to discuss this magnificent systems shall we.

Lets jump right into the Nintendo Switch state of the art design. Talking about the Nintendo Switch's design i will be comparing it to its predecessor Wii U GamePad. The Nintendo Switch offers a 6.2-inch touch screen while the tablet-like portion of the console measures around 6.7x3.9x.6 inches. Eventhough, the dimensions of the display are relatively the same, the Joy-Con controllers attached to its 9.4x4.1x1-inch frame makes it a little bit smaller than the GamePad.

The Switch’s screen looks far more better than the GamePad due to Its bright  glossy 1280x720p screen which offers a 236.87 pixel per inch (PPI) density. Unlike the Wii U GamePad’s resistive touchscreen, the Switch uses a capacitive panel, which offers a higher contrast ratio and improved touch gestures. You can definitely play the Switch outdoors just like you would with your typical smartphone or tablets. However, bright lights can make it harder for you to make out finer details on the panel.
The Nintendo Switch system itself (the central tablet piece) is amazingly small and thin as compared to the likes of the Xbox One, or the PlayStation 4, or even the Wii U, but its innovative design and mostly metal construction gives it a significant lead over the rest.

Lets talk about the dock and the joy-con which are included in the overall package. The Switch’s dock and the Joy-Con Grip are a lot more than simply just two simple pieces of plastic that allow this handheld to dress up like a home console. The dock itself is fundamentally the combination HDMI and USB passthrough the  station. In just a couple of seconds of dropping the tablet onto the dock the picture transfers right over to the TV, and after detaching the Joy-Con you are ready to play.

The seamless transition from the dock back to handheld mode is just fantastic. You basically just grab the Switch out of the dock and that’s it and even the time it takes from the initial startup to actually launching and playing a game is astonishingly short, and resuming from a sleep mode is virtually instantaneous.

The Joy-Con Grip completes the Nintendo Switch’s console transformation, housing the left and right Joy-Con to form what looks and feels like the original controller Nintendo has made since the the super Nintendo.
