The Mini SNES Console To Be Finally Launched In September!

Yes Super Nintendo Fans its Official!,  the announcement of the release of the miniature console was made via Nintendo's Official Twitter account stating September 29th, 2017 as the release date with the price tag of USD $79.99.

This miniature SNES classic console is reported to come standard with two (2) controllers and will feature 21 games.  Lets dive right into the list of games you are to expect in this standalone classic console shall we. 

Of course, top of the list will be Super Mario World, Final Fantasy III, Contra III: The Alien Wars, Donkey Kong Country, Earthbound, The Legend of Zelda: A link to the past, Mega Man X, Secret of Mana, Star Fox and the shocking addition of Star Fox 2 which is reportedly the unreleased sequel to the original Star Fox made for SNES, F-Zero, Kirby Super Star, Yoshi's Island, Super Metroid, Super Punch-Out, Super Castlevania IV, Super Ghoul's & Ghosts, Street Fighter II Turbo: Hyper Fighting, Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars, Kirby's Dream Course and finally Super Mario Kart.

However, unlike its predecessor NES, the new mini SNES will allow players to play all of this classic games on high-definition televisions due to the presence of an HDMI connection port.

This mini console will again have a region specific design as well. Which means Europe and other territories will receive the Super Famicon style, according to sources, which is the same console with a different visual design.

Originally, the Super Nintendo Entertainment System came out in November 1990 as the Super Famicom in Japan while the Super Nintendo also came out in North America on August 1991 as Super Mario World.

The NES Classic originally launched in November, 2016 and immediately sold out over 2.3 million units, but was never readily available in stores or online, even though it was later discontinued.

The release of the SNES sparked the console war between Sega Genesis and the Super Nintendo, with Nintendo leading by successfully selling out 49.1 million units worldwide.
