The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild Review!!

I am particularly thrilled to write a review on this amazing and arguably the most popular open-world game ever. I've virtually played all of its previous versions available. I kept wondering and hoping when a new version was soon going to be released. Thankfully they definitely did not disappoint.

In The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Zelda awakens from a deep sleep and a very mysterious voice from nowhere guides him to discover what has become of the ruined Kingdom of Hyrule. He then meets an old man, who turns out to be the spirit of the deceased King of Hyrule. Zelda later learns from the King that some 100 years ago, a great evil known as the Calamity Ganon rose up and laid waste to the kingdom of Hyrule and its people.

Unable to remain completely defeated, Ganon was sealed within Hyrule Castle, while the ruins of the land were ravaged by nature over time. Although trapped, Ganon has grown in power, and Zelda must defeat it before it breaks free once more and destroys the whole world.

After escaping the borders of the Great Plateau, Zelda is encouraged to meet with the wise Sheikah elder Impa and learn about the Guardians and Divine Beasts. About 10,000 years earlier these machines were created and successfully used by another Hero and another Princess to defeat the Calamity. But throughout the ages, knowledge about the ancient technology was lost until excavations in the Hyrule kingdom brought them to light once more, coinciding with the much anticipated return of Ganon a hundred years ago.

The Guardians were reactivated and four Champions were chosen to control the Divine Beasts. The Zora princess Mipha, the Goron warrior Daruk, the Gerudo chief, Urbosa, and finally the Rito archer Revali. All the while, Princess Zelda was unsuccessfully trying to gain access to her own prophesied powers, accompanied on her quests by her knight, the Hylian Champion Link.

When the Calamity Ganon eventually attacked, it devastated the Kingdom of Hyrule by taking control of the ancient machines and turning them against the Hyruleans. As a last remedy, Zelda was able to place the gravely wounded Link in the Shrine of Resurrection and use her awoken sealing powers to trap herself with Ganon in Hyrule Castle.

The All New Nintendo Switch!!!

Yes guys, finally the ground-breaking, breath-taking gaming system that has got everyone talking is finally here. Yes, I’m talking about the do it all, all in one Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch functions as a traditional home console, a portable system, and stand-alone touchscreen tablet with wireless controllers at the same time. Lets take a minute to discuss this magnificent systems shall we.

Lets jump right into the Nintendo Switch state of the art design. Talking about the Nintendo Switch's design i will be comparing it to its predecessor Wii U GamePad. The Nintendo Switch offers a 6.2-inch touch screen while the tablet-like portion of the console measures around 6.7x3.9x.6 inches. Eventhough, the dimensions of the display are relatively the same, the Joy-Con controllers attached to its 9.4x4.1x1-inch frame makes it a little bit smaller than the GamePad.

The Switch’s screen looks far more better than the GamePad due to Its bright  glossy 1280x720p screen which offers a 236.87 pixel per inch (PPI) density. Unlike the Wii U GamePad’s resistive touchscreen, the Switch uses a capacitive panel, which offers a higher contrast ratio and improved touch gestures. You can definitely play the Switch outdoors just like you would with your typical smartphone or tablets. However, bright lights can make it harder for you to make out finer details on the panel.
The Nintendo Switch system itself (the central tablet piece) is amazingly small and thin as compared to the likes of the Xbox One, or the PlayStation 4, or even the Wii U, but its innovative design and mostly metal construction gives it a significant lead over the rest.

Lets talk about the dock and the joy-con which are included in the overall package. The Switch’s dock and the Joy-Con Grip are a lot more than simply just two simple pieces of plastic that allow this handheld to dress up like a home console. The dock itself is fundamentally the combination HDMI and USB passthrough the  station. In just a couple of seconds of dropping the tablet onto the dock the picture transfers right over to the TV, and after detaching the Joy-Con you are ready to play.

The seamless transition from the dock back to handheld mode is just fantastic. You basically just grab the Switch out of the dock and that’s it and even the time it takes from the initial startup to actually launching and playing a game is astonishingly short, and resuming from a sleep mode is virtually instantaneous.

The Joy-Con Grip completes the Nintendo Switch’s console transformation, housing the left and right Joy-Con to form what looks and feels like the original controller Nintendo has made since the the super Nintendo.

Valkyria Revolution Finally Hits PS4 & PS Vita

Valkyria Revolution is scheduled to arrive in America and Europe in spring of 2017. The PS4 version, however, will be available both digitally and physically in all the regions in exception of the PS Vita version which is reported to be only available in the digital verion.

Sega reportedly announced that Valkyria: Azure Revolution will be coming to North America via Sega and to Europe via Deep Silver as Valkyria Revolution sometime in 2017. Valkyria Revolution is also reportedly getting an Xbox One release in the west, in addition to the PS4 and PS Vita release.

Before we dive into a review of the game lets talk a little bit about what the game is all about in this new epic chapter. Valkyria Revolution talks about Jutlands elite soldiers and the Vanargand, who must band together to defeat the Ruzi Empire and stop death itself, the Valkyria. This anti-Valkyria squad is fortified with advanced mana artillery and has the potent ability to wield powerful spells to combat all the formidable threat.

The princess carries the utmost love for her country and has answered the call of duty to unshackle those who are suffering from the Ruzis tyranny. On the other hand, the commanding officer of Vanargand, Amleth Gronkjaer, hides a terrible secret.

Five lifelong friends obsessed with their own personal revenge submerge an entire continent into a dreadful and gruesome war, at the long run sacrificing the lives of countless innocents for a cause which is only based on perverse lies and deception.

This long time friends use their combined political and military experience and strategy to motivate their small homeland to rise up again as a formidable resistance against their imperialist dictators.

As you may already be well aware and especially those who are familiar with the previous version, Valkyria: Azure Revolution, Valkyria Revolution is often described as a revolution from the previous series and universe, is set in alternative timeline in the pre European industrialization era.

Sony’s Oregon Studio Takes a Stab at Northwest Zombies In "Days Gone"

According to Seattletimes, the upcoming PlayStation 4 video game "Days Gone" should feel particularly familiar to folks in the Northwest: the forest setting in which the game’s protagonist is trying to survive is inspired by the landscapes near Bend, Ore.

According to Ron Allen, a senior designer with Sony’s Bend studio  which was formally SIE Bend, for Sony Interactive Entertainment, stated in Seattletimes that  “Days Gone” was teased here at the E3 video game trade show a year ago, but as is typical for high-end games that can take years to develop, the studio went quiet afterward. (“State of Decay 2,” the Xbox-exclusive zombie game being built by Seattle’s Undead Labs, is on a similar timeline.)

He continued saying “Days Gone” is an open-world game, a model in vogue among adventure games, with players free to explore the environment around them and take periodic detours into scripted missions that drive the story (developers were mum on the plot, aside from a trailer that shows a protagonist, Deacon, rescuing a comrade captured by a rival band of survivors).

Allen said the goal was to make the game dynamic, with changes in the in-game weather and time of day affecting how the infected “freakers” in this universe behave. A behind-closed-doors demo showed how the mission depicted in Sony’s showcase this week can play out completely differently in a snowstorm.

As reported by Seattletimes, when Ron Allen was asked what other zombie fiction influenced the game’s development, Allen was reported saying only that the studio took inspiration from film, music and other games.

He continued saying “The thing we like most about  ‘Days Gone’ is it’s an always-dangerous world,” Allen said. “You don’t have to go looking for trouble here. Trouble will find you.”

The game is scheduled for release December 29.

Destiny 2 To Run At 30 FPS On Xbox One X

The Xbox One X is on its way, and as you may have heard, it's the most powerful console ever made. That significant horsepower is meant to enable 4K, 60 FPS gaming on first-party and multiplatform games alike, offering a premium console experience for those users willing to pay. That 60 FPS, however, won't be the case for at least one of the major titles of the fall, Destiny 2according to forbes.

As gamespot reported, the Destiny franchise expands to a new platform this year when Destiny 2 comes to PC. Developer Bungie hasn't put out a game on PC in a very long time, and community manager David Dague spoke to GameSpot today about the challenges and opportunities around bringing the game to PC.

"We have heard so much feedback from pc gamers that they would love to see Destiny 2 on PC," Dague said on GameSpot's live show today. "The opportunity to welcome them into the Destiny community is something that I cant wait for. Being able to welcome a new segment, a new frontier into our community is awesome. I'm sure they will bring their own unique perspectives. We're going to learn all about this game that we created all over again from different view point. We will grow and evolve that experience based on what they tell us, according to gamespot.
